Paulinne Ecosystem
The Paulinne Ecosystem defines the Foundation’s network of research bodies and cultural output sectors. It currently includes the Research Centre, The Bunker, The Cinema,
The Circle, The Library, The Salon, and The Theatre, with scope for future additions to the network.
Each sector is identified by its own sub-logo, subtly distinguishing it within the broader system, and is supported by a tailored art direction that draws from the core identity while responding to the specific character
and function of each output.
Ecosystem
The sector-specific sub-logos are derived from the core P mark and adapted into distinct radial forms that respond to the character of each sector.
Within the broader art direction of each area, these marks may take on additional presence or expanded modes of expression – be that the solid black framing of The Bunker or the elaborated radial forms of The Research Centre.
The parameters governing the relationship between each sub-logo and the core logomark are defined in the following pages. While tailored to their respective sectors, these marks remain clearly recognisable as part of the Paulinne identity and may be used confidently across sector-specific outputs.
Sub-Logos
Sub-Logo: Overview
The Bunker
Industrial and adaptable, the Bunker
sub-logo is a hardened, building-block interpretation of the original P mark.
The Cinema
A cinema screen framed by a classically domed ceiling, with the P displayed on the screen.
The Circle
A perfect circle containing the P, positioned with deliberate offset, engaging in dialogue with the form rather than sitting centrally.
The Library
An open book, with the P–our reader, situated deep within its pages.
The Research Centre
As a space that interacts with every vein of the Paulinne ecosystem, the Research Centre is treated slightly differently. Rather than forming an enclosed shape, it is expressed through radiating beams, signalling the connections and networks of knowledge and output it generates.
The Salon
The dome of the core logomark is rendered more intimate and enclosed, for a space that invites small-group conversation.
Sub-Logo: Overview
The core identity logomark is scaled to one third of the page width. The proportions below define the corresponding scales
for sub-logo marks, ensuring that the P aligns in size with the core mark and that line weights remain visually consistent
across all applications:
The Bunker : 1/4th the page width
The Cinema : 1/4th the page width
The Circle: 1/4th the page width
The Library: 1/3rd the page width
The Research Centre: 1/3rd the page width
The Salon: 1/3rd the page width
The Theatre: 1/4th the page width
These width measurements are based on the widest point of
each logomark and can be calculated by multiplying the page width by the decimal equivalent.
Sub-logo marks are used in place of the core P logomark when an asset relates to a specific output within the Paulinne ecosystem, such as a particular event or material. This approach allows multiple assets from different sectors of the ecosystem to coexist within the same package while subtly distinguishing themselves from one another.
The Research Centre in collaboration with the Library forms the intellectual core: research development, editorial work, part-archive, part-observatory; a platform for study, navigation and new institutional language.
The Research Centre serves as a foundational hub, informing and influencing outputs across the wider ecosystem. As such, it is treated slightly differently from other sectors. The radial forms of its sub-logo extend into more demonstrative expressions of the sundial network, shaping structures, framing systems, directional cues, and literary outputs. These applications are characterised by confident line work, clear framing, and expanding points of focus.
Ongoing development will focus on creating adaptable template systems capable of supporting this range of outputs across both physical and digital publishing contexts. These systems will further articulate the Research Centre’s connective role through principles of motion and website navigation, making networks of knowledge visible and navigable.

Below are links to the moodboards. They introduce the individual directions of each ecosystem sector, offering visual reference for materials, applications, and the intended visual objectives of each area.
These contents and outputs are expected to evolve alongside the identity, expanding as individual events and sector-specific projects develop.
